lood is a small group of craftspeople who share a common passion for creating objects. We value excellence in design and quality and want to create objects that give our customers that same joy.
We want to produce products that are not restrained by commercial needs; Objects that have meaning to us and let us explore the creative process.

Andrew Barber
Andrew is an Engineer & Designer from Melbourne, Australia. Andrew graduated from RMIT in 2018 with a double degree in Sustainable Engineering and Business (Honours). Andrew has a strong interest in product design and provides a unique perspective informed by his diverse background.
Andrew approaches design from a holistic perspective that balances technical expertise with aesthetic sensibility. He is committed to creating high-end products that seamlessly blend form and function, and his designs are known for their elegance and practicality.
Throughout his career, Andrew has worked on a wide range of projects, including luxury furniture and cutting-edge technology. His versatility and adaptability allow for him to approach any challenge with confidence and creativity.

David Robinson
David is a strong advocate for the importance of high quality products. David has been designing and manufacturing one-off custom pieces for Architects and Interior Designers and his own customers for more than 40 years. Davids’ portfolio is comprehensive and extensive.
David’s passion for product design has led him to both study and teach Interior Design and Furniture Technology at RMIT and Monash Universities. David is a qualified Cabinet Maker giving him a unique ability to both design and resolve the manufacturing process for furniture, fittings and installations in interior spaces.
David has extensive experience in working with a range of materials. His relationships with local craftspeople and technicians enable him to design complex manufacturing systems that ensure that every step of the process is delivered to an exceptional standard.
lood allows David to bring his knowledge of interior design elements, passions for objects and love of showcasing locally produced product to customers at a retail level. lood is not just a retail outlet. It is a working design studio.

Shaheera Crawford
Shaheera has over 10 years’ experience in customer service and business operations. Graduating from William Angliss Institute with a Bachelor in Tourism & Hospitality Management in 2017. Shaheera has a strong passion for building relationships and ensuring there is a successful outcome for the client and the business. Shaheera has a calm and professional approach which inspires confidence in others.
Shaheera always wants to see a project through, having been part of lood since its inception. Her focus has been on team management, building relationships and working through the vast range of different tasks and challenges of a new start up. Shaheera brings her organisational and interpersonal skills to the important role of establishing a reliable supply chain, procurement and logistics. She has embraced the lood value of creativity with the design and development of her first product.
Shaheera is loving the journey she is on with lood, working in a collaborative team environment and is very excited about the future!

Rihan Demiri
Rihan is a young and versatile graphic designer based in Melbourne. Graduating in 2022 with a Bachelor of Design, he has always been focused on growing his skillset and learning new disciplines early in his career.
His studies at Sound and Audio Engineering Institute solidified the foundation for his artistic endeavours. His time was filled with delving into various creative projects, encompassing games, audio and animation. This eclectic background has enriched his perspective, allowing him to approach problems with an open mind and a playful optimism.
Rihan has always had a desire for knowledge. His strong work ethic in combination with his quiet determination has resulted in the development of the lood website, branding and aesthetic. He expanded his expertise to integrate his website creation into a functioning e-commerce site. Rihan hopes to continue to expand his creative capabilities with lood.

Lucy Norbury
Lucy graduated with honours from Swinburne University in 2022; majoring in Industrial Design and minoring in Environmental Sustainability. Her passion for design began at an early age, with many creative endeavours and a fascination for object mechanics.
During her Professional Industry Experience (PIE) placement in 2020, Lucy gained invaluable experience working alongside other team members on many projects. Refining her eye for detail and broadening her knowledge of manufacturing techniques.
Lucy's design philosophy centres around creating versatile products that serve multiple purposes. Reflecting her strong commitment to sustainable practices. Her approach is user-centric, prioritising the design of innovative solutions that adapt with diverse needs and uses.

Oscar Thomson
Oscar completed his Bachelor of Industrial Design (Honours) degree with a co-major in Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Swinburne University of Technology. Oscar also completed a Professional Industry Experience placement in 2022 with the lood team where he continues to work and develop his skills alongside his studies.
Oscar’s love for design has always been driven by those individuals who inspire, challenge and support his pursuit for creative freedom. He’s always believed this to be the most crucial asset for good design.
Although very early on in his career, Oscar’s confidence has accelerated through the invaluable early opportunities and skills he’s adopted. Oscar’s own vision for his career in design is fuelled by the opportunities that ignite his interests and best align with his values.

Ayden Demiri
Behind the scenes, capturing the essence and beauty of our product design and development is the talented photographer, Ayden.
Ayden will graduate from Photography Studies College in South Melbourne later in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in photography. He also enjoys exploring various other multidisciplinary art styles in his own art practice. This diverse background of formal education and self-exploration in the arts enables him to bring a unique and creative perspective to his work.
Ayden has a natural curiosity for the design and development process, finished objects and the talented people who make up lood. He applies his passion for art and photography in carefully considered photographs that both tell a story and captures the authenticity of lood and its individuals.

Lucy Callahan
Lucy graduated with a Bachelor of Design majoring in Industrial Design (Honours) from Swinburne University at the end of 2023. Lucy completed a Professional Industry Experience placement as part of her degree, and has continued to work part time with the team combined with her study.
Her interest in crafting and making started at an early age, exploring various mediums including painting, media and product design, which ultimately led her to pursue a career in industrial design.
With her exceptional creativity and drive, Lucy enjoys collaborating with her team to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions that enhance the user’s experience. Working in a team environment is where Lucy truly thrives, and she firmly believes that by combing different perspectives, ideas and skillsets, the best design outcomes can be achieved.
